The weather is sunny and warm, so two friends decide to go on an overnight tramp. One leaves their rain jacket behind, believing that he won't need it. By the time both are ready, they leave late in the day and don't think to tell anyone where they are going. The weather closes in, and the reader gets to make the decisions and discover the consequences by following the different paths. There is a section at the back that incorporates information from the Land Safety Code, as found on the New Zealand Mountain Safety Council website.
